Cornerstone helps SoLocal Group to improve Sales efficiency
The leading European local and digital communications company is relying on Cornerstone Learning Suite to train the Group’s sales and customer services teams on new solutions
Paris, 08 January 2018 Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ:CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based learning and human capital management software, has been supporting SoLocal Group, a European leader in digital and local communications, to speed up the training of sales teams on new products and help them improve overall efficiency and performance.
For its workforce of 4,400 employees, 2,800 of whom work on customer relations (sales, tele-sales and customer relationship managers), SoLocal wanted to develop the sales training offering to meet the ever-growing needs of its employees. Given the speed of its digital transformation and product development, providing training for a mobile and decentralised field sales team was a key challenge for the Group.
“After a pilot phase launched at the end of 2016, we rolled out the Cornerstone Learning Suite in mid-2017 to all the members of the sales and customer relations departments. The implementation required a change of thinking within the teams. We have moved from a “push” strategy to a “pull” strategy, where learners proactively look for training to improve their own performance. To foster that approach, the L&D teams had to produce more engaging content to drive learners’ engagement and interest. We have done this using various drivers, particularly Cornerstone’s gamification features,” explains Nicolas Borge, Digital Learning Manager for the SoLocal Group.
Key objectives of the project were to:
- Enable faster distribution and acquisition of knowledge around the Group’s new digital product offerings
- Develop online-based training habits vs. classroom-based
- Increase learners’ engagement through gamification, learning communities and the possibility to rate the contents provided on the platform
As part of this initiative, SoLocal Group needed more attractive content, with a more intuitive, user-friendly interface making the learning experience more flexible. Cornerstone’s reliable and scalable platform was the most attractive to the sales efficiency project leaders.
Additionally, SoLocal Group wanted to provide its employees with the latest e-learning tools, including blended learning, multi-mode pathways and gradual adoption of the mobile app for its field salesforce.
With the Cornerstone Learning Suite, SoLocal can go further than its initial objectives by managing classroom and virtual training programmes and giving one-stop access to training content.
