Organisations with a higher level of product and service innovation have a higher usage of continuous reviews to develop their people (as opposed to the yearly appraisal). Whereas organisations that innovate less, are more likely to develop their people through coaching and mentoring programmes.

This is just the tiniest snippet of what we’ve discovered in our latest study with IDC. Innovation levels and talent management are fundamentally linked in many different way – innovation levels influence whether employees more likely to recommend an employer, how fast they go through the recruitment process, how they are trained and how much they collaborate among other things.

We have spoken to almost 2,000 HR professionals, IT professionals and line of business managers across 14 countries to suss out how talent management and innovation is linked within their business. Our findings were so rich, we have divided the insights based on the type of organisation and by innovation frequency. So, whether you’re an organisation that’s:

  • constantly evolving
  • stable, but with high cadence of product/service change
