Integration Consultant
Location: Germany / UK (London)
The Opportunity
The Integration Consultant Role supports the Sales, Account Management, Alliances, and Implementation Consulting teams for new customer implementations as well as additional projects within existing accounts by presenting, scoping, scheduling and tracking execution of the Cornerstone on Demand Integration projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales, Account Management, and Implementation teams in crafting solutions that support the integration of the CSOD product with client and third party applications
- Conduct needs assessments of customer requirements, develop scope of work and supporting documentation, to include conceptual solution options, diagrams, workflows, business cases, etc to support a compelling winning solution
- Provide technical guidance to clients integrating to a SaaS solution
- Assist in educating employees, partners and customers on the basics of technology integration and solution designs as well as the Cornerstone technology infrastructure
- Work as a liaison Consultant throughout the organization to establish best practice
- Use advanced technical knowledge of integrations to write and maintain new/revised manuals, bulletins, implementation packages, and other technical documents, as well as convey technical materials in a concise and effective manner
- Create detailed project work plans from estimated scope of work
- Understanding the Scope of the customer’s business goals and strategies.
- Creation and validation of all deliverables for Integration Services projects
- Coordination and management of expectations for execution of Integration Services projects.
- This plan should include:
- Consideration of agreed upon Due Dates disclosed in sales handoff or Kick off meetings.
- Consideration of Resources available to successfully deliver the appropriate tasks
- Consideration of Strategic nature of the customer/project
- Track and communicate project status, risks, estimate v actual hours, budgets and provide in-depth status reports to Management
- Appropriately escalating issues based on severity, impact and long term customer satisfaction.
- Developing Risk Mitigation strategies for consideration and approval of your stake holders.
- Travel: the Integration Consultant will cover several geographies and will be expected to travel as required
- Language skills: the technical project manager will be required to perfectly master English. Additional European languages would be an important value add (French and German in particular)
- Working hours: flexibility in working hours will be needed as you will be working with colleagues and customers across multiple time zones
- Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive, high energy, demanding entrepreneurial environment, balancing internal and external demands
- As an Integration Consultant, you are expected to manage multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously. We expect that you will be able to support several significant Cornerstone on Demand Integration programs at a time, in addition to tracking and managing a large number of ongoing or ad-hoc smaller technical projects
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years in consulting, project management, strategic planning, business analysis, process design, research and competitive analysis, package implementation, knowledge of multiple technologies and interactive design
- Exceptionally strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage client accounts and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in Project Management and/or full lifecycle software development process and methods.
- Expertise in one or more industries, organizational structures, business process design techniques and development methodologies
- A strong technical background, with experience identifying solutions that integrate Enterprise applications, SAAS or other complex services. Key skills and experiences would include working with Microsoft .NET, XML, SQL Server or BizTalk.
- Experience with software integration as a consultant required: Target platforms or technologies, Microsoft, PeopleSoft, SAP, HR Access, ADP, Oracle, Siebel, or Salesforce.com
- Thorough understanding of the project life cycle process to effectively manage through the complexities of the business solution
- Highly proficient using Excel and Word. MS Project and Visio preferred
- PMI or PMP certification, an advantage
- Fluency in English and German mandatory (Additional European languages are an advantage)
